Quintel said the show is going out exactly how they want and that the final season will bring the series full circle. How and when did you know that Season 8 of Regular Show would be its last? It was kind of more like figuring out the right way to end it, so it would end our way and properly. We always intended for the show to have a beginning, middle and end so that the viewers will feel satisfied with the ending and not feel they were left hanging. So when we found out that Season 8 would possibly be the end, we set into motion these episodes that we wanted to happen so we can have our series end the way we wanted it to end. I think they knew that we did a lot of episodes and we feel like we explored a lot of territory with these characters. No we did something like that already. But if we start going in this direction we will have all these other cool stories. Two more seasons to get to 10! But I think they know shows have to end.

This could have been the series finale. After all, the show would not need to do anything nearly as radical as what I just outlined for a theoretical endpoint. All it would really have to do is show that Mordecai and Rigby are not the same two useless slackers we met five long seasons ago. This episode does that in spades, to the point that the episode strains to come up with a conflict it can build the romantic storyline around.
Mordecai, once an overgrown child who spent the better part of four seasons paralyzed by fear and unable to act on his feelings for Margaret, is now able to spring into the action the moment that Eileen points out that he and C. There is nothing wrong with Mordecai and C. There are four possibilities here. Alternatively, the show could pull a repeat of what it did with Margaret, devising some logistical reason that Mordecai and C. The owner could point out what happened when his site initially paired up Mordecai and C.
But all the cowboy can manage is a deeply lame, not technically illegal but very definitely sleazy slideshow depicting C. It would be downright ridiculous for Mordecai to take the cowboy seriously under such circumstances; with a better argument rattling around his head, Mordecai might well have become suspicious at C.

See the gallery. Mordecai tries to fix his bad kiss with Margaret by using Rigby’s time machine. The second season of Regular Show relaxed a bit from the first and I found I enjoyed it more for not being quite as targeted or as focused on only supernatural events. The third season more or less continues this, with fewer obviously pitched bits, and a more varied approach which has its fair share of excessive plots, but usually based in very small things.
The plots are generally quite good in a way that makes sense in the context of the show and characters, and the events that play out mostly work as funny flights of invention rather than just being silliness for the sake of it. As before the style and tone is generally relaxed, natural and cool with 80’s style electro pop being well and frequently used The longer run of episodes approaching 40 does seem to make consistency harder to achieve though.
Speaking generally, some of the plots work against the establishment of character in a consistent manner; for example Benson tends to be a very simple angry plot device of a boss, with fewer touches of character than he has in the odd moment, however the weakest aspect of the third season is more apparent than that — Muscle Man. Perhaps he is popular with others but for me he is pretty much the least interesting of the characters in the show, and unfortunately he is the one supporting character that this season seems to go to more than all the others, particularly in the second half of the season.
The focus on him seemed to offer less variety in the tone, less variety in the characters, and generally limited my interest in the episodes where this was the case. This added to the handful of lesser episodes, does rather combine to make the third season feel uneven as a result. I did still enjoy the majority of this longer season, but I hope that the fourth season returns with fewer episodes, a more even spread of characters and a smarter use of them , along with continuing development of characters within the frame of creative and funny plots.

After years spent benched on a shelf without a release platform, J. More notably, Regular Show branched its two demographics through the brilliant exploration of its two lead characters. Wandering through their early 20s, Mordecai and Rigby were, in the end, two slackers stuck in a period of arrested development. With little ambition aside from drinking soda, playing video games, hanging out and partying, their shenanigans are immediately lovable to anyone watching their mundane lives escalate into hysterical, universe-spanning adventures.
The same could in no way be said about Mordecai and Rigby. After Mordecai has his heart broken, the potential for them to get together remains after Margaret comes back, but the two eventually decide to remain friends instead. Instead, the show takes a smart and touching subversion as Margaret and Mordecai prematurely end their romantic interests in order to take advantage of their youth and explore the wide array of opportunities still available to them outside of a committed relationship.
Rigby would also come to show immense growth as he belatedly grew up and got a grip on his life by expanding his horizons. From there, Rigby finally finds a purpose in his life as he tries to build himself into a man worthy of her affection. He passes his GED, gets his diploma and gradually becomes a better, more respectful person for it.

Mordecai may profess to love games, slacking, drinking coffee and singing karaoke but his real love is the delightful Margaret. The comedy style seems to be a bit of a blend between Adult Swim productions with humor that seems aimed at a slightly older audience and traditional Cartoon Network shows. This is a great series for audiences of all age, but it will be most enjoyed by twenty to thirty-something people who still love cartoons.
The humor is surprisingly adult and hilarious and the characters are odd enough to be likeable as well as humorous simply due to their appearance. The series follows two animal friends who work at a park and continually screw up the jobs they are expected to perform and complete. The animation is fun, the goofy adventures amusing and is overall a surprisingly well done series. It is created by J. This guy is a complete genius.
